Entry Level IT Helpdesk Assistant

Computer Support Assistants work as part of the Help Desk team, providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. As a Computer Support Assistant, you will answer users' questions, train users on basic system and computer functions, address system and user issues, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Responsibilities:
- Provide standard help desk assistance, including:
- Log all help desk interactions
- Administer help desk software
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat or email
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Research questions using available information resources
- Advise users on appropriate procedures
- Follow up with customers and users to ensure complete resolution of issues
- Follow help desk protocols and procedures, including:
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Redirect problems to correct resource
- Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
